How Somatropin Works
Somatropin is recombinant human growth hormone produced by rDNA technology. It is a 191 amino acid polypeptide with the same sequence as the growth hormone released by the anterior pituitary, which is what allows it to bind the growth hormone receptor with full activity.
The lyophilised format exists for stability. Freeze-dried somatropin is stable for far longer than a solution, which is why it ships as a powder and is reconstituted immediately before a period of use rather than at the point of manufacture.

Why it matters:
the 191 amino acid chain is identical to the growth hormone the pituitary produces. Some lower-grade material uses a 192 amino acid sequence carrying an extra methionine, which is recognised as foreign more readily and has been associated with antibody formation and falling response over time.

💉 RECONSTITUTION GUIDE
Step 1:
Draw 1ml of the supplied bacteriostatic water into a sterile syringe
Step 2:
Inject it slowly against the inside wall of the vial. Do not spray it directly onto the powder
Step 3:
Let it dissolve on its own, swirling gently if needed. Never shake it
Step 4:
Refrigerate the reconstituted vial at 2 to 8°C and use it within 28 days
Resulting concentration:
at 1ml per 10IU vial, 0.1ml is 1IU. On a 100 unit insulin syringe that is 10 units per IU. The 10ml of bacteriostatic water in the carton covers all ten vials at this ratio.

Each carton carries a unique QR code and serial number. Scanning it confirms the kit is genuine Quanta Pharma stock and returns its batch details. One code per carton, and each can only be registered once, so a code that has already been scanned is an immediate red flag.
Handling and storage
Before reconstitution:
store the sealed vials refrigerated at 2 to 8°C, protected from light. Do not freeze
After reconstitution:

Never freeze reconstituted material.
Freezing denatures the protein and the vial is finished
Do not shake.
Agitation damages the polypeptide; a cloudy or flocculent solution should not be used
